Site: Sand with an 18m fall front to back

A difficult sloping site sitting on a sand dune. The existing dwelling was a 2 story full brick and concrete structure. We went directly below with 2 new levels, excavating by hand at times to create a space that has added over double the floor area to the dwelling. We underpinned existing walls and footings that were buried 5m below the natural ground level. There are multiple contiguous pile walls around the site all drilled by hand up to 7m deep in places.
